— THE TALKY BITS ABOUT CAMP —

  • The Musical Theatre program provides a quality learning experience for students ages 13-18. Participants will receive instruction in acting, voice, dance, and additional curriculum related to musical theatre.

  • Faculty and staff are established performing artists who regularly work in regional theatre or professional theatre companies, serve as university professors, or are themselves university students pursing careers in the arts.

  • In addition to several hours of instruction, students will have the opportunity to perform in student recitals accompanied and coached by collaborative artists extensively trained in musical theatre repertoire.

  • At the end of the camp we perform a fully staged, costumed, musical with the support of technical crew and instrumental ensemble that includes members of our strings program. Valerie Canon our wonderful program director and her staff cast the roles in the musical based on the student’s application materials.
